Test bulletins are a handy way to preview your content as your audience will see it. By sending a bulletin to designated test users, you can check your messages for any errors before they reach a wide audience.

Use test bulletins to do the following:

  • Preview different elements of a story while you are creating it.
  • Preview a finished story to see how it would look in published form.

Follow the steps below to test your bulletin:

Step 1: Set your test users.

Before you preview any bulletins, you will need to designate test users, or users who have permission to receive the preview. To learn how to set your test users, click the button below.

Step 2: Choose the bulletin you want to test

Once you have added some test users, select the bulletin that you want to preview. You can do this by clicking on the title of the bulletin.

Note that you can only test bulletins that are in draft form and have not been published yet.

Step 3: Click the 'Test' button

Next, click the 'Test' button in the lower-right corner of the page.

Step 4: Select your test users

Select the users that you want to receive your test bulletin.

Step 5: Press 'Send Test'

Press the red 'Send Test' button. Your chosen users will receive a preview of your bulletin.

Messages will have the tag (TEST) to keep them distinct from your published bulletins. Here's what this might look like on Telegram:

Facebook Messenger has the same behavior:

Engage with your test bulletin, and make any final edits before publishing your story.
