1. Bulletin is a chatbot platform

Chatbots are systems that provide automated services in a conversational format. Bulletin enables businesses to easily automate content delivery over messaging apps using the power of chatbots.

To use Bulletin, you will start by setting up a Telegram chatbot or a Facebook Messenger chatbot. The process is easy, and only takes a few minutes. Once the setup process is complete, you can start automating message delivery on these platforms.

Bulletin users also have the option to configure a WhatsApp chatbot. However, since WhatsApp's Business API is a new and in-demand feature, you will have to request access from Facebook, which makes this process a bit longer (for now, anyway).


2. Bulletin helps you send interactive newsletters

Sending content via messaging apps is different from distributing content over email. Bulletin helps content creators deliver content in a different format than ever before - one that we call interactive newsletters.

An interactive newsletter is essentially a newsletter that is optimized for messaging apps. It's written in conversational format and is broken up by questions, paragraphs, emojis, gifs, and other media. Interactive newsletters are short and should take up just a few minutes of your users' time. They are also engaging, as they require the reader to participate in unveiling the full story.


3. Bulletin works with guided conversations

Unlike other chatbot platforms, users don't type an answer to bots powered by Bulletin. Instead, they must choose from a predefined set of responses to interact with the bot. 

This is because Bulletin is based on the guided conversation paradigm. With the guided conversation paradigm, you don't have to worry about programing a chatbot to account for hundreds of open-ended responses. The direction of the conversation depends entirely on what content you decide to create - not on the current scope of AI technology or your programming abilities. This helps keep user expectations in check and ensures that the conversation stays on track.




4. Three elements of conversation: bulletins, stories, and fragments

In Bulletin, content is organized as follows:

  • A bulletin is a collection of one or more stories. Before you create a story, you must generate a bulletin to house them.
  • A story is the main body of content. Multiple stories can be published at the same time if they are grouped under the same bulletin. This way, the audience will have the chance to finish one story and start another.
  • A fragment is a small part of a story. Fragments can be paragraphs or other elements such as GIFs, videos, audios, polls, and more. You can explore fragments in our story editor.


Every story has a lead and offers the audience two possible actions: to continue or to skip the story. If your bulletin has multiple stories, users who decide to skip one story will have a chance to start the next one. Once a user has read all of your stories, they will receive a default message that lets them know that they are up-to-date.
